How this record is kept

This site is a ledger. Its design follows one rule: every page has provenance — the footer of each page says where its facts came from and when they were last verified.

Built

Hand-written HTML and CSS. No framework, no build step, no JavaScript, no analytics, no cookies, no webfonts. The pages will render for as long as browsers render HTML, which is the point. Two typefaces from the reader's own system: a serif for prose and a monospace for metadata — the myth register and the manifest register. One accent color, saffron.

Structure

Two rails — field (research) and fire (art) — converging in writing. A ledger of names that project pages draw from. A dated now page. Project timelines run in reverse chronology, from the finished thing back to the hands that made it.

Stills on this site are frames from the 2026 Navagunjara Reborn build film, extracted with FFmpeg. Photographs of people are of collaborators who appear in the publicly posted film; anyone who would prefer not to appear can ask and will be removed the same day.

Version control

The site's source lives in a git repository. Its commit history is its own provenance; nothing is silently rewritten.
